Sony Xperia XA Review & Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

The Sony Xperia XA removes fingerprint recognition and PS4 Remote Play from the original Xperia X's specs list, causing us to flag a couple of cons right off the bat.

That being said, it comes with a few familiar multimedia pros, including a 13-megapixel 1/3-inch Exmor RS camera with hybrid autofocus , an 8-megapixel low-light-sensor autofocus-capable selfie cam , and Sony's signature Clear Audio+ and X-Loud audio technologies . Sadly, this 5-inch Android does not go beyond an HD-720p display resolution , despite its 64-bit eight-core MediaTek MT6755 processor and Mobile BRAVIA display engine 2 sounding rather passable for a Full HD interface. Wrapping it up is a 16GB memory, which you can expand by a generous 200GB via microSD .

Overall, the Xperia XA's pros and cons make it a decent 2016 mid-ranger, but a few high-end sprinkles wouldn't have hurt.
