Sony Z2a Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the Sony Z2a, by Sony

We were expecting the Z2a to be a slight update to the Xperia Z2, but it turned out to be a slight down-grade instead. Why would Sony even go back for a VGA front camera, while the Z2 had a modest (but at least better) 2.2-megapixel shooter? That aside, this 5-inch model (Z2: 5.2-inch) managed to retain the 20.7-megapixel 4K-video camera - clearly the strongest selling point of the Z2. It still runs on the Snapdragon 801 (2.3GHz, quad-core) that also supports most high-end Androids, with a 3GB RAM to match. Gamers and app-geeks might also be in for a treat, as the Z2a is PlayStation-certified, along with other multimedia perks. With most other signature features in place, the Z2a likely gives you one more option for your Xperia purchase.
