Virgin Mobile Awe Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Virgin Mobile Awe, by Virgin

Save for its price, very little about the Virgin Mobile Awe inspires awe. But to be fair, some of its features are slightly better-performing for a basic smartphone: Its 1.2 GHz CPU is faster than most of those in its category, its Jelly Bean 4.1 is a decently recent OS despite not being the latest version, and its 1GB RAM is higher (the Huawei Ascend Y, another prepaid phone, has 256MB). Its 5-megapixel picture shooter can also be considered better than average (again, for its price range and category). At 4.4 ounces, it is not too heavy, although it may be a teeny bit bulky (10.4mm thick). Therefore, as long as it is judged strictly within its entry-level kin, it should hold up well (and possibly live up to its name).
