- Analysis by KJ David
Other than having twice the memory (16GB) and RAM (2GB) offered by the plain Redmi 2, this Prime variant apparently packs a similar assortment of pros and cons, among which are its middle-class 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core CPU and Adreno 306 graphics card. You will also find a 4.7-inch HD IPS fully-laminated screen, which we wish could have been bumped up to a Full HD (1080p) resolution . The 8-megapixel BSI rear sensor also returns, though it still pairs up with a mediocre 2-megapixel selfie camera . Another thing to note is the Quick Charge 1.0 feature that claims to speed up charging by up to 20%.
That said, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is not as primed for the big league as we originally drooled over.
