Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Review of Pros And Cons

Despite obviously being a newer model compared to the Note 3, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 fails to deliver its predecessor's 16-megapixel primary camera , settling for a 13-megapixel shooter instead. Another con is its 5.5-inch Full-HD-1080p screen , knowing that its premium-caliber hardware can very well run a Quad-HD-1440p interface.

On the upside, it upgrades the Note 3's six-core CPU to a ten-core 2.1GHz chip that is ably accompanied by a 700MHz Mali T880 GPU and 3GB of RAM (a 2GB version is also available). Moreover, it boasts 4100mAh's worth of battery power , which is a rather common perk among Xiaomi flagships.

This Redmi Note edition also comes with some familiar high-end specs, such as a fingerprint detector and a 64GB maximum on-board memory (the Note 3 only has 32GB of storage), while the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS skinned with Xiaomi's MIUI 8 greets users up front.

Our verdict: The Redmi Note 4's pros and cons may fall short of some premium yardsticks, but flagship Android hunters will likely relish its deca-core processor and robust battery.
