Xiaomi's Redmi Pro, though undeniably a flagship-tier 5.5-incher, opts for a Full HD, 342ppi-only display quality , instead of Quad-HD-2160p, which is a pro offered by many other high-tech 2016 releases. Also, it forgoes 4K-2160p video-recording , though its dual-rear-camera setup (13-megapixel + 5-megapixel) somewhat makes up for that con.

As for the rest of its specs, this Redmi edition boasts a deca-core, tri-cluster Helio X25 processor (Helio X20 for lower-tier variants), which is composed of 2.5GHz, 2GHz, and 1.55GHz cores, each assigned to specific performance tiers. Its premium CPU is aided by 4GB of RAM (a 3GB version is also available), while a 4050mAh battery is on power duties.

Compared to some other 2016-released flagships, which settle for 64GB on-board memories only, the Redmi Pro's highest-specked version features a 128GB memory expandable by up to 128GB . Its pros and cons selection also includes a 2.5D-curved glass finish , a ceramic fingerprint sensor doubling up as its home key , and a brushed aluminum housing .

All said, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro may not be the be-all-end-all of flagship Androids, but those in the market for a sophisticated smartphone should find it more than noteworthy.
