The YU Yunicorn my not deliver a set of mythical specs, but its bundle of pros and cons make it a clear-cut minor-brand Android in our book.
Even though its 13- and 5-megapixel camera resolutions were nothing new when it came out , features like phase-detection autofocus and an OV13853 PureCel image sensor sound like instant pros to us. It also has a 2.5D-curved NEG glass panel protecting its 5.5-inch display. Accessible through its screen is YU's steroid launcher , which is basically a mutation of the Android 5.1 Lollipop UI that aims to make usage a lot easier.
Even though we expected something more than 32GB of native memory (considering its hardware setup), the Yunicorn's 4GB RAM , 1.8GHz Helio P10 CPU , and 4000mAh battery are nonetheless flagship-class facets as of 2016. Also on board is a fingerprint reader (up to 5 prints) , which we think fittingly tops off its upscale feature set.
