ZTE Axon Max Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Axon Max, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

It may have been the last Axon model unwrapped by ZTE in 2015, but the ZTE Axon Max is certainly not the least -- not with a premium-tier 4140mAh Quick Charge 2.0 battery and a 6-inch 2.5D-glass Super AMOLED Full HD screen in tow, though we can't help but wish it boasted a Quad HD (2160p) resolution instead.

In addition, while the Axon Max does not offer the original Axon's innovative dual-rear-camera setup , it is fitted with a pair of 16- (f/1.9) and 13-megapixel (f/2.2) cameras , placing it in flagship territory notwithstanding. A few more pros include specs like a Snapdragon 617 1.5GHz eight-core CPU , a 3GB RAM , and a 32GB expandable (by up to 128GB) storage . On top of that, it also features fingerprint plus voice identification , Hi-Fi audio and voice control , as well as USB Type-C -- the reversible and more-advanced successor to micro USB v2.0.

Our verdict: for a phone aiming to maximize screen real estate and battery power, ZTE Axon Max comes with several bonuses in terms of pros and cons.
