ZTE Blade L2 Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the ZTE Blade L2, by ZTE

Except for its quad-core processor, we found nothing really outstanding about the Blade L2. Its dual-SIM option and 8-megapixel camera are nice touches, but might not be that great considering its feature set. The pretty dated 3.0 Bluetooth technology is a little questionable, since most 2014 models offer the 4.0 + LTE version (some even come with version 4.1). It's just like any other mid-level phone, but perhaps that is just what you want?

On-paper Review score:

Let's Look at the Cons:

Unimpressive front camera:

We know it is just the front camera, but just a 1-megapixel selfie cam?

Unknown radiation level:

Despite our efforts to find SAR (radiation) information for the ZTE Blade L2, we didn't find it, which is disappointing. How can we know how much radiation this phone generates?

Slower smartphone:

Not too long ago, this smartphone's processing specs would have seemed ok, but in comparison to most recent smartphones, a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582M processor with just 1GB of RAM looks a little pale, compared to recent smartphones with their multi-core gigahertz processor and large RAM.

Unknown weight:

It's frustrating that we were not able to find information about its weight.

Now, the Pros:

Quad-core microprocessor:

Not only does it clock at 1.3GHz, it is even quad-core.

High-resolution (8-megapixel) camera:

It sports a superior-resolution camera (8-megapixel) with the following options: Auto-focus, Geo-tagging, Panorama, Self-portrait, Continuous shooting.
