ZTE Blade Vec 3G Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the ZTE Blade Vec 3G, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

Despite many other brands releasing top-notch premium models during the IFA 2014, ZTE's Blade Vec 3G seems to target an audience shopping on a relatively limited budget. An 8- and 5-megapixel camera duo does not sound new, but still sounds satisfying from a mid-level standpoint. Its quad-core processor revving in at 1.3GHz and its 1GB RAM also seem right on par with many similarly-priced 5-inchers. Its major setback, however, is the lack of 4G (LTE) connectivity -- though a 4G version was announced. Its 5-inch TFT screen is also quite modest with an HD (1280 x 720) resolution. The ZTE Blade Vec 3G comes across as a decent mid-range purchase, but 4G wouold have been better, if not essential.
