ZTE Prelude Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the ZTE Prelude, by ZTE

It appears the ZTE Prelude is hoping to catch the eye of users that prefer to wade in the shallow end of the smartphone pool - at least for now. The affordable 1GHz smartphone will not overwhelm you with fancy tricks, it will stick to the basics: It runs the relatively updated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, sports a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 TFT screen, comes with a 512MB RAM and 4GB of memory, and has a 1500mAh battery with a standby time of 500 hours or almost 21 days. In the entry-level category, those are competitive figures.

Its 2-megapixel camera underperforms a little, but not by much (other smartphones have 3 megapixels). By all appearances, it is a competent smartphone that won't require you to sell your soul to afford.
