ZTE Zmax 2 Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the ZTE Zmax 2, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

While it is obviously the successor to ZTE's 2014 5.7-inch Zmax, the Zmax 2 (initially carried by AT&T) strangely sports a smaller screen, at 5.5 inches and a lower battery power, at 3000mAh (compared to 3400mAh) . Its HD screen banks on a similar anti-scratch Gorilla Glass 3 layer , though. Another difference is the Zmax 2's jump from 1.6 to 2 megapixels on its front cam, though we would not call it a pro considering the popularity of 5-megapixel selfie cams around its release. The more obvious selling point is its Dolby Digital Plus audio system .

The remainder of its pros and cons heavily borrow from the first model, including the 8-megapixel camera, the 2GB RAM , and the 16GB native memory . Verdict: two models in, we still don't see any spec maxed out by ZTE's Zmax series.
