The Acer Liquid e is Bluetooth-equipped. Bluetooth is a wireless protocol which lets you connect your cell phone to computers, headsets, car kits, etc. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply connect both devices and transfer your music files from your computer to your Acer Liquid e.
Just record sound directly:
Since your Acer Liquid e has a sound recorder (also known as "voice memo"), a very simple technique involves just putting your phone near your computer's speakers, playing whatever music or sound you'd like as a ringtone, and recording it -- you can even use your voice, your child's voice or even your cat's "meow!" Record it with your mobile and "voilą!" Unless that function was specifically blocked on the Acer Liquid e, you should be able to navigate to the ringtones section and assign that recording as a ringtone. Of course, the sound quality will not be perfect but, at least, it's free!
Using a 3G Uploader:
If none of the above tips do not work with your Acer Liquid e or if you don't want to buy extra accessories, you can still use one of various free "3G Uploader" services available online. You should find plenty with a simple Katapulco.com search. 3G uploaders are easy to use: Save your own music on their web site and they will return a temporary URL. Pointing your Acer Liquid e's web browser to that address should download the free ringtone.
