Using a memory card:
Your LG enV2 sports a MicroSD memory card slot. If your laptop or personal computer has a slot for that card format (Most laptop computers are so-equipped), you should be able to transfer music files
(The LG enV2 supports these formats: AAC+, WMA, WAV, MP3) from your computer to a MicroSD memory card, and then, from the memory expansion card to your cell phone. Your user manual should explain how to assign the music you just uploaded to your phone's ringer.

By USB cable:
The LG enV2 features the "USB Mass Storage" norm. Get a USB cable (There might be one in your LG enV2 package) and, linking your LG enV2 to the computer should make it appear as a memory key. Open it and just drag and drop music files directly to your LG enV2, just as if it was a folder in your computer. For the remaining steps, please refer to your LG enV2 owner's manual. The ringtone chapter should explain how to assign a recently uploaded file as a ringtone.
Using Bluetooth:
Your LG enV2 is Bluetooth-enabled. Bluetooth is a wireless protocol which lets you connect your cell phone to other devices. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply connect both devices and transfer your audio files from your computer to your LG enV2.
Just record sound directly:
Since your LG enV2 has a sound recorder (also known as "voice memo"), a very straightforward technique involves simply placing your phone near your computer's speakers, playing whatever music or sound you'd like as a ringtone, and recording it -- you can even use your voice, your child's voice or even your cat's "meow!" Record it with your phone and "voilą!" Unless that function was specifically blocked on the LG enV2, you should be able to navigate to the ringtones sub-menu and assign that recording as a ringtone. Of course, the sound quality won't be ideal but, at least, it's free!
Through a 3G Uploader:
If these techniques do not work for you or if you don't want to buy extra accessories, you can always use one of various free "3G Uploader" services available online. You should find plenty with a simple Katapulco.com search. 3G uploaders are simple to use: Upload your own free ringtones on their web site and they will return a temporary web address. Pointing your LG enV2's web browser to that address will download the free ringtone.
