Sharing a roughly similar spec sheet with the original model, the 2015 Micromax Canvas A1 (AQ4502) is pinned to the entry-level category like its predecessor. It updates the KitKat platform to Android v5.1 Lollipop, with free OS upgrades for 2 years. It also doubled up the memory capacity from 4GB to 8GB, though the 1GB RAM and 1.3GHz quad-core CPU remain the same. In addition, the 2015 edition offers a similar imaging capability with 5- and 2-megapixel cameras on its rear and front side respectively. Finishing it off is a 1700mAh battery power.
