At a display size of 5.5 inches, the Alcatel Pop 4 Plus is a bigger version of the 5-inch Alcatel Pop 4. As far as imaging pros and cons go, however, it features a watered-down set of camera specs in comparison to its predecessor. While the latter has a 13-and-8-megapixel duo, the Pop 4 Plus has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, instead. Nevertheless, these sensor resolutions are still pretty standard in its market. Where it trails behind is in its max recording resolution of 720p 
, while many similar options can produce 1080p videos. On the other hand, the fact that the Pop 4 Plus is equipped with an LED selfie flash 
is a definite pro.
In spite of the aforementioned upgrade in screen size, the Pop 4 Plus didn't get a similar boost as far as resolution goes. Its 720p display is then left with an underwhelming 267DPI sharpness .

Performance-wise, a Snapdragon 210 processor runs this device. It has a clock speed of 1.1GHz which, unfortunately, is on the lower end of the speed range offered by semi-budget phones such as this one. On top of that, it suffers the con of having only 1.5GB of RAM .
Its 2500mAh battery fails to make a lasting impression, as well. This much power is by no means dismal, but it's still comparably-lower than many of the competition.

Looking at the plus side, this lack of a noteworthy battery has enabled the Pop 4 Plus to maintain a relatively-thin 7.99m body . This, along with a brushed metallic trim and fingerprint sensor , helps slightly elevate this smartphone's overall feel.

The Alcatel Pop 4 Plus' set of pros and cons comfortably place it in the upper rungs of the budget market. Its cameras' resolutions, physical features, and front-facing LED flash gives it a youth-oriented vibe. Meanwhile, several misses in the hardware and battery arena disables it from impressing potential buyers who are all about cost-effective dependability and performance.
