The successor to Asus's 2018 Zenfone 5 flagship, the Zenfone 6 2019 (ZS630KL) is a rather innovative flagship-class smartphone when it comes to mobile photography, blustering with a 48- plus 13-megapixel dual camera 
sitting on a motorized swivel-up panel, which means that it can also be used for capturing selfies or groupfies (This phone has no dedicated front-facing camera 
). Among its imaging pros and cons are a 480fps slow-motion video-recording mode, laser autofocus, and a 4K-2160p maximum video-recording capability. Its flip camera module also enables vertical panoramic shots.
A couple of hiccups within its specs list is the Zenfone 6's 2340 x 1080 FHD+ screen definition , which we consider a stain on its otherwise flagship-phablet-caliber 6.4-inch NanoEdge notch-free display that, by the way, comes with a scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 6 finish (the latest as of this on-paper review) and support for HDR10 content. Its 256GB internal memory comes off as a slight con as well, at least compared to the 512GB native memories packed by a few of its flagship contemporaries. Note, however, that it boasts a hulking 2TB memory card slot .
Going back to its pros, the Asus ZenFone 6 2019 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 eight-core 2.84GHz (top speed) processor , which was the engine-of-choice for some of the market's fastest smartphones as of this Phonerated analysis. It is accompanied by a flagship-worthy 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and an Adreno 640 graphics processor.
Powering those high-octane performance pros and cons is an equally-promising 5000mAh battery that promises a 33.3-hour maximum 3G talk time and a 33-day standby time, both of which were well above the corresponding averages when it was released. This Zenfone model also features a fingerprint scanner, facial recognition, and a 5-magnet speaker that blasts DTS surround sound audio.
Plastered in either Midnight Black or Twilight Silver, the Zenfone 6 calls out to multimedia junkies who have a soft spot for high-class cameras and competitive hardware setups.
On-paper Star rating: 
It's great that the Asus Zenfone 6 2019 can record fancy 3840 x 2160 videos, but we're surprised we didn't find any sign of the Zenfone 6 2019 sporting an HDMI port (which comes in handy to watch HD videos on your shiny HDTV without having to move them first to your computer).
