A large-screen, camera oriented Android phone, the BLU G8 rocks a 6.3-inch Infinity Display with an expansive aspect ratio of 19:9 that's similar to what some of the best phablets and wide-screen smartphones featured here on Phonerated offer. Having said that, its display pros and cons are marred by a humdrum 1520 x 720 HD+ resolution and, consequently, a relatively low 267ppi-only pixel density score . This means that it likely flounders in comparison to similarly-specked models that offer at least FHD/FHD+ (1080p) screen definitions and score 400ppi or higher.
This 2019 BLU model also drops the ball a little when it comes to hardware specs, listing a 1.6GHz-only eight-core processor among its cons -- don't forget to check out the most popular octa-core phones as of this technical review. Its aforementioned engine is accompanied by a middling 3GB RAM and an IMG8322 GPU.
Aside from its wide display, the G8's pros also include a double-lens rear camera consisting of a 13-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for things like bokeh photography. It captures standard 1920 x 1080 Full HD videos at 30fps. On the flip side, it touts a 13-megapixel front-facing camera infused with BLU's Final Touch software , which is essentially a native suite of photo-enhancing features.

The G8 is powered by a respectable 4000mAh battery and it comes with a standard rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for phone security -- note that some of its closest competitors couple fingerprint-based authentication with facial recognition systems. Its 181g-heavy shell is coated in either Red, Blue, or Black, while its list of technical pros and cons is crowned by the Android 9.0 Pie ecosystem.
All said, this dual-SIM, 4G-enabled Android is tailored to mid-level smartphone shoppers who prefer large displays and are quite picky when it comes to photography perks as well as overall battery life.
On-paper Review rating:
The BLU G8 can record high-resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) movies. Bravo! But we couldn't determine whether it had an HDMI port or not. Granted, HDMI (which lets you connect to your HDTV), is not an absolute necessity, but it seems like a desirable feature on an HD phone.

We're dealing with a hefty display here, making it a phablet: 6.3 inches and a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels means about 15.36 square inches and an image quality of at least 267 dots per inch (DPI)!
The BLU G8 doesn't come with an included memory card but it supports up to 64GB of memory expansion, which will be convenient to save videos and pictures shot with the included 13-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel depth sensor) camera.
It includes a superior-resolution camera (13-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel depth sensor))

The 13-megapixel selfie cam offers an above-average resolution.
The BLU G8 includes the following accessories: Scree protector, Silicone case, SIM key, Earbuds, Sticker. It may come in handy.
