A February 2019 release from Cubot, the X19 is home to a mix of mid-level and high-end pros and cons. Among its unimpressive specs are a 64GB-only internal storage memory , knowing that a few other models powered by tantamount hardware components (We'll examine its hardware further down this Phonerated review) start out with 128GB of on-board memory -- it does support up to 128GB of top-up storage, though. Also, this Cubot model did not put much effort into joining the selfie-driven smartphone category, settling for a lackluster 8-megapixel fixed-focus 4P-lens front camera .
The X19's biggest pros include a relatively fast (at least on paper) 2.5GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Helio P23 processor that could place it alongside some popular eight-core-powered models. It is clubbed with 4GB of RAM and an Mali-G71 MP2 that was rather typical among middle-class smartphones around the time of its market entry.
Working hand-in-hand with those hardware components is a hearty 4000mAh battery that just about hits our raw battery power sweet spot as of 2019 Q2. Don't forget the check out some of the best high-endurance smartphones here.
Although its aforementioned selfie cam winds up as a con in our book, the opposite is true for its dual-lens main camera , which is made up of a 16-megapixel f/2.0-aperture main lens and a 2-megapixel deputy lens. It has a 1A LED flash and a 5P lens architecture.
Screen-wise, the X19's 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display does not make that big of a difference against the displays touted by many other 2019-released mid-rangers, although its wide 18:9 aspect ratio does not disappoint. Also on board are an LED notification light and the combination of a physical fingerprint scanner and a facial recognition system carried by its selfie cam. Its pros and cons are housed inside a shell that's coated in either Black or Gradient, with the Android 8.1 Oreo platform greeting users up front.
To rehash, the Cubot X19 is an overall mid-range smartphone tailored to stamina- and performance-cautious users.
On-paper Review score:
Its 2.5GHz processor speed combined with 8 cores is part of the fastest.

We're dealing with a hefty display here, making it a phablet: 5.9 (actual diagonal size is 5.93 inches) inches and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels means about 13.94 square inches and an image quality of at least 408 dots per inch (DPI)!
The X19 is one of the rare phones to feature a 16-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel sub-cam) camera.
The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.
