Hafury A7 Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

The Hafury A7 is an introductory-class Android phone peppered with a bunch of old-fashioned cons, the biggest of which is its measly 1.3GHz quad-core processor , which obviously puts it on the back foot versus most eight-core-powered models listed here on Phonerated. Moreover, it comes with only 2GB of RAM , which was no longer that promising around the time of this on-paper review, even in the lowest Android category. Its 3G-only network compatibility sounds highly problematic as well.

Its low-caliber specs also include a 16GB-only native memory that's extendable by a maximum of 64GB -- note that a few tantamount 2019 smartphones offer at least twice as much on-board storage, at 32GB.

Those hardware pros and cons are powered by a 2800mAh battery , which we flagged as a selling point, if only because a lot of other entry-level 2019 releases fall short of the 2500mAh battery power threshold.

Speaking of pros, the A7 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D-curved-glass screen whose 18:9 aspect ratio brings to mind a few higher-ranking large-screen phones. It also features a 500mAh LED flash that somewhat spruces up its otherwise mundane 8-megapixel primary camera. This flash setup is largely for enhancing the lighting conditions when snapping photos at night or in dark environments.

Joining in are a basic 5-megapixel selfie cam carrying the phone's face unlock feature , the latter being its alternative to a standard fingerprint scanner. This Hafury model offers dual SIM card slots and it is coated in either Blue or Black.

With the Android 9.0 Pie operating system topping off its assortment of pros and cons, the A7 winds up as a pretty straightforward budget smartphone for those who prefer no more than the bare essentials.
