The 2017 version of the Nokia 130 has one major improvement over its predecessor. Now sporting a 0.3-megapixel camera , this device has expanded its market to include simple-phone hunters who would like to be able to take even lower-quality photos. While most feature phones like this one have cameras that don't go beyond having 2 megapixels at their disposal, some of them have the edge of also offering an LED flash -- something that the 2017 130 does not possess .

The 1.8-inch display has a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels. This results to a 111DPI pixel density , which is as basic as it gets among the 130's peers.

Physically, the polycarbonate-enclosed 130 also got thicker (at 14.2mm) in the update, making it bulkier not only against its older sibling, but also compared to many phones on its market.

Next on this pros and cons inventory is the battery. At only 1020mAh , this power reservoir pales in comparison to those found in similar models. However, the 130 still manages to cough up a competitive stand-by span of 30 days .

Like in the previous installment, the Nokia 130 comes in either a single-SIM or a dual-SIM version . We appreciate this flexibility to accommodate both kinds of needs.

Lastly, this phone's memory specs are predictably-basic. With 4MB of RAM and 8MB of memory , it's a wonder how such a small storage space would be able to accommodate photos taken using the 130's new camera. At least, it has the option of hosting additional memory (up to 32GB) through a microSD card slot .

Needless to say, the new Nokia 130 has pros and cons that are quite expected out of a basic feature phone. With the small storage capacity and subpar display being its main cons, we suspect that only the most unassuming of all users would find joy in this device.
