A 2019 addition to OnePlus's flagship smartphone family, the OnePlus 7T boasts one of the most-ambitious triple camera systems as of this technical review, consequently calling up Phonerated's list of the best phones for photography. Its three-lens setup consists of a premium-class 48-megapixel main lens infused with both optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS + EIS), a 12-megapixel telephoto lens enabled for 2x optical zooming, and a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens whose 117-degree angle is tailored to landscape photography.

Despite its highly-competitive camera, though, this OnePlus model is not without a couple of cons, one of which is its 128GB non-expandable (It has no microSD card slot) memory -- a few competing 2019 flagships pack twice as much memory and support external storage. We also find its 3800mAh raw battery capacity somewhat underwhelming, since a good number of similarly-specked phones offer somewhere around 4500mAh. That said, it does come with the brand's Warp Charge 30T technology , promising to replenish up to 70 percent of power in 30 minutes.

Up front, the 7T boasts a flagship-class 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an expansive 20:9 aspect ratio that places it alongside some of the leading wide-screen phones of its time. Regrettably, however, its display pros and cons are marred by a 1080p-only definition that flounders in comparison to the 2K-1440p screens rocked by some of its contemporaries. Sitting on its tiny screen notch is a 16-megapixel selfie cam.

Under the hood, the 7T throws together an AI-ready Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core engine running at 2.96GHz and an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM , which made it one of the fastest smartphones as of this specs-based analysis. Also tagging along is the Adreno 640 and the OxygenOS 10 that's loosely based on Android 10.

A couple of other features include a haptic vibration motor promising an intuitive gaming experience and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Its pros and cons are sandwiched by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass panel up front and a matte-finished 3D glass at the back.

Long story short, the OnePlus 7T is a flagship-class smartphone that's inclined to photography and performance.
