The 2019 ROKiT IO Pro 3D is somewhat a refined version of the IO 3D that banks on a similar glass-free 3D content streaming technology , which it delivers through a respectable 6-inch 18:9 2160 x 1080 FHD+ display -- the forenamed technology is its biggest pro against the leading phablets and large-screen smartphones found here on Phonerated.

This ROKiT phone is not without some cons, though, one of which is its somewhat middling dual-cluster eight-core processor running at 2GHz + 1.5GHz -- many of its eight-core-powered rivals rely on processors that clock in at 2.3GHz or higher. Its CPU is accompanied by a 4GB RAM and a dedicated ARM Mali G71 graphics engine.

Also, although its 3850mAh raw battery capacity sounds tolerable, the fact that it offers some sub-average stress test scores, namely, an 8-hour talk time (480 minutes) and a 200-hour only standby time , makes us a tad uncomfortable, especially when taking into account its screen's 3D capabilities. By the way, feel free to check out some other innovative phones here.

Joining the IO Pro 3D's pros and cons are a dual-lens rear camera consisting of a 13-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel subsidy lens as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing cam.

It comes with no more than 64GB of on-board memory , which does not sound like a difference-maker, coming from a phone with its kind of pros and cons, although it is accompanied by an up-to-256GB external memory allowance. Its preloaded software include ROKiT's ROK Talk Wi-Fi calling app, ROK Health, and the ROKFLiX 3D media player.

So, after a thorough review of its technical specs, this ROKiT model seems to cater to shoppers who aren't ready to go for a full-blown flagship model just yet, but nevertheless want to dip their toes in the world of 3D multimedia.

On-paper Review score:

Cons (or Not-so-great Features):

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we were not able to find information about its weight.

Pros:

Innovative features:

It is capable of running 3D videos and games without requiring 3D glasses, a premium-class perk amidst otherwise mid-level specs.

Faster processor:

Its processor speed of Quad 2GHz (+ Quad 1.5GHz) combined with 8 cores is part of the fastest.

Huge display:

The screen is big, making it a phablet: 6 (actual diagonal size is 5.99 inches) inches and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels means about 14.39 square inches and an image sharpness of at least 402.23 dots per inch (DPI)!

High-resolution (13-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel sub-cam)) camera:

It includes a superior-resolution camera (13-megapixel (combined with a 2-megapixel sub-cam)) with the following options: Image editor.

High talk time:

The manufacturer-rated talk time of 480 minutes is among the longest-lasting. Even if talk time ratings are not necessarily measured the same way by each manufacturer, this is still an indication that the ROKiT IO Pro 3D will likely last more than other handsets.

Average front cam:

The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.
