As its name suggests, the Power 2, which joined the big-battery phone category in 2017 Q4, is a sequel to the 2015 Ulefone Power that adds a couple of pros on the imaging front, but has its fair share of cons.

Leading its slight drawbacks is the fact that, just like its predecessor, it runs on a 1.5GHz-only eight-core processor (MediaTek MT6750T) , which obviously shudders in comparison to the roughly-2.5GHz octa-core chips powering several models featured on this Phonerated list of the best eight-core smartphones available. It also weighs a bit heavier than the original Power (190g), at 210 grams -- the average smartphone weight hovered around the 150g mark when we were reviewing its technical specs.

Making up for its relatively cumbersome body is the Power 2's gigantic 6050mAh battery pack , which promises a standby time of up to 1160 hours (a little over 48 days) , roughly 245 percent higher than the average mark as of this write-up. Additionally, it comes with the Pump Express 2.0 9V/2A quick-charging technology , which claims to replenish a full day's worth of power in just 30 minutes -- it takes 2-3 hours to power up from 0 to 100.

The rest of the Ulefone Power 2's pros and cons include a 13-megapixel main camera interpolated or software-enhanced to 16 megapixels , with Auto-HDR leading its imaging perks. In the same manner, it upgrades the Power's paltry 5-megapixel selfie cam to an 8-megapixel one that's interpolated to 13 megapixels , though it by no means lines up with those of the best selfie phones around.

Sitting alongside its aforementioned CPU and battery is a respectable 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal memory , the latter being a big leap from its predecessor's mere 16GB-only storage cap. It also supports up to 256GB of memory expansion .

Up front, the Power 2 sports a decent 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) furbished with an anti-scratch 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 panel , with its color options being Black, Grey, and Gold -- it does away with the original Ulefone Power's rarely-seen Wooden finish .

With the Android 7.0 Nougat and dual nano SIM card slots rounding out its pros and cons, the Power 2 calls out to power-hungry users who don't necessarily care for fancy cameras and hardware.
