Although it was released alongside low-enders like the A5 2019 and the A3 2019, the ZTE Blade A7 2019 is not as dull of a phone as its siblings when it comes to pros and cons, although it still has a few major pitfalls.
For starters, the glaring absence of a fingerprint scanner 
is an outright con in our book, knowing that many other budget-class models featured on Phonerated around the time of this specs-based review offer standard rear-mounted fingerprint readers. It also will not find itself alongside competitive selfie-first smartphones, seeing that it settles for a 5-megapixel-only fixed-focus cam that's at least interpolated (enhanced using software) to mimic an actual 8-megapixel shooter.
Powering its pros and cons is a middling two-cluster eight-core SC9863A engine clocked at 1.6GHz + 1.2GHz -- the best octa-core models on the market do not go for anything lower than 2GHz. This model comes with only 2GB of RAM , which sounds paltry, particularly compared to the 3GB or 4GB capacities offered by several other 6-inchers.

Moving on to its screen, the Blade A7 2019 is home to a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a wide aspect ratio of 19.5:9 
. Note that it has a wider aspect ratio than some higher-class large-screen phones.
Joining its pros is a 16-megapixel main camera , if only because many other budget models of its generation stick to classic 13-megapixel lenses only. Also, it packs a 3200mAh battery whose capacity sounds just right, taking into consideration its low-class hardware setup.
For multimedia storage, it has a modest 16GB native memory that can be extended by a maximum of 256GB. Also joining in is the VoLTE (voice over LTE) in-call audio technology and standard 4G-LTE network connectivity. It is offered in Black and Blue.
All said, this Blade A edition caters to a rather pragmatic clientele, but those who still want at least an eight-core engine and a rather spacious screen.

The screen is larger than usual, making it a phablet: 6.1 (actual diagonal size is 6.088 inches) inches and a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels means about 14.18 square inches and an image quality of at least 281.59 dots per inch (DPI)!
