ZTE Majesty Pro Plus LTE Review of Pros And Cons

The ZTE Majesty Pro Plus LTE, in spite of its Plus name tag, caters to the same pragmatic clientele as its Majesty Pro sibling, being a part of TracFone's entry-level prepaid lineup (Don't forget to check out Phonerated's list of the best TracFone-carried phones here). One of its biggest cons is its primitive 4.5-inch FWGVA (854 x 480) display , especially since many of its competitors in the low-end Android market are at least fitted with HD-720p screens.

Moreover, this Plus edition did not bother to upgrade the original Majesty Pro's cameras, still opting for a mundane 5-megapixel rear camera that at least comes with a standard LED flash and autofocus and a 2-megapixel-only front-facing camera that, taking into consideration those of other smartphones with tantamount assortments of pros and cons, is the total opposite of majestic.

Hardware is where the big differences between the Majesty Pro and this Plus edition lie, seeing that the Plus comes with 16GB's worth of on-board memory (Its mother model offers a paltry 8GB capacity), which, given its starer-class feature set, was still within the respectable when we were writing this on-paper review. Likewise, the Plus bumps the Majesty Pro's mediocre 1GB-only RAM up to a passable 2GB . That being said, its specs are still powered by a measly 1.1GHz quad-core processor , so it by no means takes a giant leap in terms of performance.

While it comes with twice the storage and RAM offered by its base model, the Majesty Pro Plus LTE sticks to a 2100mAh battery capacity , consequently scoring sub-average talk (12 hours) and standby times (11.5 days) . By extension, its unassuming power cap sounds discouraging, given its 4G-LTE network compatibility -- by the way, stay up to date on the latest 4G phones here.

The Majesty Pro Plus LTE's pros and cons also include an M4/T4 hearing aid rating, a microSD card slot for up to 32GB of memory expansion, and the Android 7.1.1 Nougat ecosystem. Like most of its cousins under ZTE's low-end smartphone lineup, it dons a classic Black finish.

So, in essence, the ZTE Majesty Pro Plus LTE is a slightly-tweaked version of the introductory-class Majesty Pro for prepaid shoppers who want a bit more RAM and storage space.
