Alcatel 1030 Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the Alcatel 1030, by Alcatel

Once upon a time, hearing about a phone that can also play music would have been ... well, music to people's ears. Now that is pretty much the bare minimum, but for a basic phone, it is a perk. It is really light (2.54 ounces), it does not have a camera, and considering that most flip phones have displays that measure 2.77 inches or more, its 1.8-inch 160 x 128 display is a bit small. Its 3MB memory (expandable to 8GB using a microSD card that is probably sold separately) also does not seem to offer much room for the music it is proud to be able to play. In all fairness, however, these specs (it also has a 260MHz processor, a 4MB RAM, and a 500mAh battery) are probably right at home in a basic no-camera phone - which is exactly what it is.

** This phone is also known as: Alcatel 1030X, Alcatel 1030D (dual SIM version)
