Alcatel Dawn Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Alcatel Dawn, by Alcatel

- Analysis by KJ David

Though it won't likely hurt your wallet , the Alcatel Dawn's array of pros and cons frankly puts us to sleep, with a boring 0.3-megapixel selfie camera and a flash-less 5-megapixel main cam among its antiquated cons, all marks of a basic smartphone destined to the prepaid market. It also fails to reach our 2000mAh battery capacity pass mark for entry-level devices, opting for a sub-standard 1780mAh battery power instead. Rubbing more salt to its wounds are a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 (FWVGA) screen and a 1GB-only RAM .

At the very least, this Marshmallow-sporting Android works with full-blown 4G networks , making it a very cheap ticket to 4G LTE web browsing. Also, while many of its rivals settle for 4GB internal memories, it is preloaded with 8GB of storage .

At the end of the day, the Alcatel Dawn may be a conveniently-priced Android phone, but its outmoded specs should dawn on you instantly.
