Alcatel OneTouch Hero Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the Alcatel OneTouch Hero, by Alcatel

Alcatel heroically packs several features and accessories (some of the optional) into one 6-inch (1920 x 1080, 440ppi) phablet. There is the MagicFlip cover that displays updates and notifications using integrated LED lights, the optional E-Ink cover and Pico projector, and the also optional companion Bluetooth feature phone -- though prepare to pay extra for them. The Hero also comes with many above-average specs: a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, Android 4.2, a 13-megapixel camera with Full HD video recording (1920 x 1080 at 30fps), a 3400mAh battery (one of the biggest among phablets), and 2GB of RAM. However, its 8GB of internal memory with 5.6GB available to the user (the dual-SIM version has 16GB) seems a tad low considering a lot of phablets have over 16GB.

Overall, the Hero appears to be a hardworking, feature-rich phablet from the relatively unsung Alcatel.
