Though more-engaging than the older ZC553KL model specs-wise, this edition (ZC553KL) of the Zenfone 3 Max misses on some flagship-class pros. That being said, it stands tall versus many other 2016 high-enders stamina-wise, with its 4100mAh reverse-charging-enabled battery reaching up to 72 hours of continuous video playback and a 38-day 4G standby time .

Its biggest cons include its lack of a 4K video-recording option , which feels particularly weird, considering its promising 16-megapixel dual-LED-flash TriTech focusing PixelMaster 3.0 main camera . Also, its 5.5-inch interface could have rocked a QHD-1440p resolution (instead of FHD-1080p), given its 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU and massive 4GB RAM (3GB and 2GB versions are also offered).

The remainder of its pros and cons include a 360-degree fingerprint scanner as well as a 2.5D-contoured glass with a fingerprint and smudge-resistant coating over its display. It also has an 84-degree 8-megapixel selfie camera , with a middling (for a high-end model) internal 32GB memory expandable by up to 128GB at the ready.

Despite having a few flaws, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL is geared towards flagship Android shoppers who are very meticulous when it comes to phone endurance.
