BLU Energy X Plus 2 Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by KJ David

This sequel to BLU's high-endurance Energy X Plus is pretty much the same budget-class smartphone, but this time it comes with an even-more-generous 4900mAh Super Battery that scores up to 72 hours of standard usage and reaches a 30-day standby period -- the older version has a 4000mAh cell.

That gigantic pro aside, the BLU Energy X Plus 2 remains in the mass-tier department, with cons like a basic 1GB RAM and a network capability limited to 3G bands only (21Mbps peak data rate) amidst its specifications. Moreover, its 5.5-inch HD-720p 267ppi screen is not as promising as we had hoped for a phone packing this kind of energy, especially when compared to similarly-sized FHD-1080p displays. That being said, it does rock a curved cover glass , with a 5-megapixel LED-flash selfie camera sitting right above its interface.

With a mammoth battery and a bunch of low-cost features among its pros and cons, the Energy X Plus 2 winds up as a device for the power-hungry entry-level shopper.
