LG Aristo Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the LG Aristo, by LG

Here is our LG Aristo review of the pros and cons. It is based on the tech specs gathered by our tech specs team for the LG Aristo. It is not a conventional live review.

On-paper Review score:

Pros:

Quad-core CPU:

Not only does it clock at 1.4GHz, it is even quad-core.

Very large display:

The screen is larger than usual, making it a phablet: 5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels means about 10.68 square inches and an image quality of at least 293.58 dots per inch (DPI)!

Interesting camera:

Above-average camera resolution - of 13-megapixel - with these features: Tap the shutter, use your voice, tap the screen, or press a volume key to take a photo, Live Shot (Take still shots while recording video), Self-Timer (Choose to take a picture/video 3 or 10 seconds after you press the shutter/record button).

Strong frames-per-second (fps) video recording:

Video can be recorded at 30 frames per second, which is a high-enough frames per second rate by today's video phone standards.

Average front cam:

The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.

Cons:

Slower smartphone:

A year ago, this smartphone's on-paper performance would have been just fine, but by today's standards, this 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with a RAM of only 1.5GB seems a little pale, knowing how recent smartphones boast multi-core, 2+Ghz processors with more than 1GB of RAM.
