Sonim's 2015 XP7 expands their ultra rugged Android phone line, though it seems to expand the XP6's pros and cons as well.
Perhaps as a result of a slightly larger screen (4 inches), this model is roughly 20g heavier that the already weighty XP6 (270g) at 290 
. It also does not offer a microSD card slot , a slight con considering how useful it would be for an outdoorsy model. Going to its pluses, the XP7 does come with a 4800mAh battery 
and a 3-year comprehensive warranty , both complementing its rugged shelling , which is its obvious pro.
The Sonim XP7 is not as arty as your usual Android, but it does sound like a pretty tough contender.
