Sony Xperia X Review of Pros And Cons

This 5-inch FHD TRILUMINOS smartphone is the first Xperia X model from Sony and, like many other Xperia smartphones, it leans heavily towards multimedia. That said, we still caught a few minor cons within its high-end specs list.

Despite its 23-megapixel camera delivering predictive hybrid autofocus and a pulse LED flash , the Sony Xperia X sticks to a Full HD maximum video recording resolution -- many of us expected 4K (2160p) imaging out of this model. Its 13-megapixel low-light-sensor selfie camera sounds interesting-enough to us, however. On a different note, while its 2620mAh battery power is so-so by 2016 Q1 standards, its Qnovo Adaptive Charging and 48-hour battery life sound relatively promising .

Going back to its focus on multimedia, the Xperia X brings back Sony's signature PS4 Remote Play application , allowing you to play PS4 games on your phone. Behind the scenes are a 64-bit Snapdragon 650 CPU with 3GB of RAM and a 64GB memory that supports up to 200 gigs of expansion .

Wrapping up the Xperia X's pros and cons is a fingerprint detector , which is embedded into its home key, closely-following the design concept of Sony's previous flagship -- the Xperia Z5.
