Proudly rocking the Ultra name tag, this version of Sony's Xperia XA brings back the 2GHz 64-bit eight-core MT6755 processor , but this time pairs it up with a 3GB RAM (instead of only 2GB). That said, we still caught a couple of regrettable cons among its specifications.
Such drawbacks include a 16GB-only internal memory , since lots of similar devices have 32GB and even 64GB of on-board storage. We also cannot help but wish it had more than 2700mAh of power , though its Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology looks to solve that issue.
As for its imaging, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra boasts a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with hybrid autofocus and Auto Scene Recognition as well as a 16-megapixel selfie camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an LED flash of its own . These high-class cams are accompanied by its phablet-class 6-inch display , which honestly could have done better than a Full HD resolution .
Overall, the XA Ultra's selection of pros and cons is not impeccable, but it does resemble a lot of other flagship-tier Androids released in 2016.
