BlackBerry DTEK50 Pros & Cons Review

Despite being only the second Android-powered BlackBerry smartphone, the Neon (aka the DTEK50) lines up with many high-end 2016 releases, while rocking BB's signature enterprise and security pros.

Note, though, that this BB phone feels underwhelming power-wise compared to many similarly-priced models, with its mere 2610mAh battery capacity . Its lack of a fingerprint sensor also feels awkward, especially for a security-driven Android.

As for the rest of its specs, the Neon introduces BB DTEK , which alerts you whenever your privacy is at risk, as well as BB Encryption and Password Keeper for hardware-level security. Providing the needed muscle are a Snapdragon 617 eight-core 64-bit processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM . Also joining in are a 13-megapixel PDAF dual-tone-LED-flash rear camera , an 8-megapixel flash-equipped selfie cam , and a 16GB memory expandable by up to 2TB .

Bringing together all of the BlackBerry Neon's pros and cons are its 5.2-inch scratch-resistant Full HD display and welcomingly-familiar BlackBerry provisions like BBM and BlackBerry Hub , making it an Android phone for BB's business-centered clientele.
