BlackBerry Passport Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the BlackBerry Passport, by BlackBerry

- Analysis by KJ David

For a device running on a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and sporting a 13-megapixel camera, the BlackBerry Passport might not be as desirable for most techies with its pretty bulky square-type design. But a 4.5-inch 1440p (1:1 aspect ratio) screen does come with some perks, including a maximum of 60 characters displayed on a single line -- most others models cap off at 40 characters. This might translate to an easier time reading ebooks or managing your files, with a full QWERTY keyboard (3 rows) right under it to boot. BlackBerry also updates their smartphone formula with the Passport's 13-megapixel camera and 3450mAh battery. Up to 128GB of microSD storage is not very shabby as well. The Passport was pitched as a smartphone for productivity, but the market will decide whether it is worth trading off a slender body or not
