While staying with its base model's 500-entry-only phone book and HD-720p-only 5.5-inch IPS display
, the Homtom H17 Pro offers a couple more pros, while bringing back some of the original HT17's key specs.
Its selling points include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3000mAh battery capacity
, which we would not normally expect from entry-level Androids. It plastic casing
makes it sound cheap compared to its metal-clad competitors, though. On other fronts, it has twice the memory (16GB, to be exact)
offered by its sibling, although it supports only 64GB microSD cards this time
. Moreover, it has double the HT17's RAM, at 2GB
, with a low-key 1.3GHz quad-core processor
still on board. Topping off its pros and cons are 8- and 2-megapixel cameras interpolated to 13 and 5 megapixels accordingly, which it lifts directly from the plain HT17's playbook.
So, while the Homtom HT17 Pro version suffers from similar cons, it should appeal more to its entry-level target buyers, given twice the memory and RAM.
