No, you are not mistaken, like only a few other 2015 phones, the HTC Desire 520 does support up to 2TB's worth of external memory (8GB native storage), but it seems way too hefty for a mere entry-level smartphone. For all that promise, however, this 4.5-inch FWVGA (only 854 x 480 pixels) model settles for cons like a 2-megapixel front-facing camera , a 1GB RAM , and a 720p video recording capability via its 8-megapixel rear sensor -- many similarly-priced models capture 1080p videos. Its 1.1GHz clock speed (quad-core CPU) also seems a bit off, knowing that most other budget Androids are clocked at 1.2GHz.
The 520 does pack a few likeable pros in the form of HTC's BlinkFeed and Sense Home apps (though Sense-Home is free in the Android store), which might just be enough to get the ball rolling for first time Android users.
