HTC Desire 526 Pros & Cons Review

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 , the 2015 Desire 526 is quite an odd mix of pros and cons fronted by a budget-class 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540) display .

While many mass-tier smartphones offer 32GB (or even 64GB) of microSD support, the 526 allows up to 200GB , which is even higher than the 128GB offered by many high-end models. It also comes with Bluetooth v4.1 and HTC's signature BlinkFeed update streaming application. As for the downsides, its 8- and 2-megapixel cameras are nothing special , considering that 5-megapixel frontal sub-cams were all the rage during its release. Its 1.1GHz clock speed is also strangely a tad short of the usual 1.2GHz, but that should not be much of a problem with four CPU cores and 1.5GB of RAM .

HTC's 526 is a fairly-balanced smartphone, but better cameras and processing could have taken it beyond the dreaded entry-level designation.
