HTC Desire 700 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the HTC Desire 700, by HTC

The HTC Desire 700's innards are pretty much what we expect to see from a mid-level smartphone: a processor with four cores but with a speed of only 1.2GHz (we have seen some of its peers go at 1.7GHz), 1GB of RAM, 4.6GB of user-available memory, and a 2100mAh battery. Its features, though high-end, are also not that startling because they are now standard fare for the more recent Desire phones (although HTC swears they are much improved). There is still the BlinkFeed homescreen that updates when the phone is refreshed, the BoomSound technology that features two front speakers and built-in amplifiers, and the Zoe feature set that promises to do a number of nifty tricks like capture up to 20 photos (from its 8-megapixel camera) and turn them into a 3-second video.

Basically, the Desire 700 does not offer much in the way of surprises. But our gut tells us that some people - those who will not mind the 5-inch 960 x 540 display that is not quite high-definition and the absence of LTE support - will still find it interesting.
