HTC One SV Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the HTC One SV, by HTC

While we think that the features of the HTC One SV are pretty decent and reasonable (dual-core CPU, 4G, and 4.3-inch display), we found some specifications that could have been improved, like its 5-megapixel camera and 1800mAh battery (much better had these been an 8-megapixel camera and at least a 2000mAh battery).

On-paper Star rating:

Cons:

Is there an HDMI port?:

The HTC One SV can record high-resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) movies. Bravo! But we couldn't determine whether it had an HDMI port or not. Granted, HDMI (which lets you connect to your HDTV), is not an absolute necessity, but it seems like a desirable feature on an HD phone.

Below-average front cam:

These days, we would hope for more than just 1.6-megapixel of selfie cam resolution.

Unknown SAR rating:

We were unable to find this phone's radiation level. Therefore, we can't determine how close it is to the limit.

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we were not able to find information about its weight.

Pros:

Large onboard memory:

It boasts lots of user memory (8000MB (may vary)), but it may sometimes be better to buy a phone with an included memory card instead, since the memory card can then be reused in a future cell phone.

Other notable features:

It has the following special features: Accelerometer, Digital Compass, G-Sensor, NFC, Proximity Sensor

** This phone is also known as: Cricket One SV
