Huawei Pal Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Huawei Pal, by Huawei

Although released in the last quarter of 2013, the Huawei Pal is a relic of a bygone era, when phones can make calls and send texts, but cannot start your car from a hundred feet away or take your blood pressure. It runs on Brew 3.1.5, and has a 1.8-inch TFT screen (with color!), 230MHz CPU, 64MB RAM, and 25MB of storage memory. It also does not have a camera (the horror!). It can, however, connect to the internet through MetroWEB, it is a light 2.65 ounces (probably because it is also very light on features), and its 900mAh battery has a decent standby time of 17.5 days or 420 hours (some high-end smartphones with three times the battery capacity have less). With specs like these (that all fall on the opposite end of the mobile phone spectrum), the Pal can only either be a breath of fresh air, or a person's worst nightmare.
