iPhone 6S Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by KJ David

Following Apple's S-version tradition, the iPhone 6S rocks a few tweaks over the base model, but no major overhauls.

Its key pros include the main camera jumping from 8 megapixels (sported by previous four iPhones) to 12 , with a 4K video capture finally coming to the iOS-sporting family, which by the way, advanced to iOS 9 as of this iPhone edition. Moreover, the 6S now sports a 5-megapixel FaceTime HD front camera with its own frontal Retina Flash. Behind its 4.7-inch interface is an A9 CPU , replacing the first iPhone 6's older A8 engine and embedding a motion-sensing M9 coprocessor on the chip itself.

This model is slightly thicker than the original at 7.1mm , but not without justification, as it brings 3D Touch , which is what Apple calls their pressure-sensitive display technology, opening new doors in terms of touch-based inputs. The 2nd-generation of Apple's TouchID fingerprint authentication makes its debut with the 6S and 6S Plus as well. Still lacking a microSD card slot , the 6S's storage starts off at 16GB, with 128GB being the highest available memory.

It may not be an all-out makeover, but we'd still take the 6S over the older iPhone 6 anytime.
