LG G3 Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the LG G3, by LG

- Analysis by KJ David

A premium LG phone outside of the Optimus series? Our scrutiny of the LG G3's pros and cons seems to say so. We were enticed by the promise of a premium experience from the G3, considering the plethora of mid-level releases from LG this year (2014). The combination of a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 3000mAh removable battery (with wireless charging) and the up-to-2TB microSD expansion are significant leaps spec-wise. Photo geeks will also love its 13-megapixel OIS camera , not to mention its expansive 5.5-inch Quad HD display. We also liked the inspiration of this model: simplicity.

LG features a cleanup of preinstalled apps - removing the not-so-useful ones and combining apps with similar purposes. They even topped it all off with a simplified user interface, leaving us speechless on what to moan about in terms of specs sheet, but both Engadget and reviewers at amazon complained about the battery life management not living up so much to what we would expect from a 3000mAh. And though its review score is rather high, we saw a few complains about its AUX port and display brightness .
