Attempting to beat out most 2015 middle-class Androids, the LG G4 Beat builds on the feature set of the G4, though its selection of pros and cons were bound to take a hit.
The Beat retains the G4's camera technologies (laser autofocus, color spectrum sensor, etc.), but not the cameras. Where once peaked a 16-megapixel 4K camera now tumbles an 8-megapixel Full HD sensor -- the Latin American version sports 13 megapixels. The selfie camera was also knocked down from 8 to 5 megapixels. Moreover, the Beat does away with the G4's 5.5-inch Quad HD interface, sporting a less-impressive 5.2-inch Full HD screen . That said, this mass-tier model packs a punch on the hardware front, replacing the G4's hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU with an octa-core 1.5GHz chip , though we are not quite happy with only a 1.5GB RAM . Lastly, the G4's 32GB memory and 3000mAh battery were scaled down to 8GB and 2300mAh respectively , but those are rather necessary tweaks when humbling down a flagship model to a mid-range ring.
