Motorola MOTOGO TV Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the Motorola MOTOGO TV, by Motorola

For a phone with mobile TV as the main feature, we obviously want the screen to be as big as possible, and while MotoGo TV's 3.2-inch display seems reasonable, it is not as big as we would like (a 4-inch or bigger is much preferable). Other than that, we appreciate the inclusion of Wi-Fi since this phone has support for YouTube.

On-paper Review rating:

First, the Cons:

Smaller battery:

We believe that 910mAh is not sufficient for a phone with a display this big (3.2 inches accross). It may drain quickly.

Where is the HDMI port?:

The Motorola MOTOGO TV can record fancy (1600 x 1200 pixels) clips. Great! But we couldn't determine whether it had an HDMI port or not. Granted, HDMI (which lets you connect to your HDTV), is not an absolute necessity, but it seems like a desirable feature on an HD phone.

Smaller touch screen:

We hope you don't have big hands, since the MOTOGO TV's touch screen has a smaller display surface to press on than many other smartphones. According to our calculations, it has a 4.92 square inch-display while

Does the memory fit with the camera?:

The MOTOGO TV features a 3-megapixel camera, but unless it comes with a memory card and we missed it, you'll soon run out of memory to hold the pictures because the built-in memory is only 128MB...

Unknown weight:

It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.

Pros:

Rugged:

It is touted as a rugged phone (more sturdy, better water-resistance, etc).

Dual SIM cards:

It can hold two simultaneous SIM cards, which lets you hop from one network to another if you own two SIM cards.
