Nokia Lumia 620 Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Nokia Lumia 620, by Nokia

The Lumia 620 seems to have the looks to attract the attention of younger people. The dual-shot color technique adds more flavor to the design and there are many colors to choose from. Some of the features, however, failed to impress us. The battery is only 1300mAh and the display is a bit small at 3.8-inch.

On-paper Star rating:

First, the Cons:

Smaller battery:

Granted, the Nokia Lumia 620's 1300mAh of battery juice will get you through a day, but given this phone's 3.8-inch screen, we would prefer a battery with more capacity.

Apparently no HDMI port:

We're delighted that the Nokia Lumia 620 can record high-resolution 1280 x 720 movies, but we were disappointed not to find any evidence of the Lumia 620 featuring an HDMI port (which is convenient to watch HD videos on your shiny HDTV.)

Newer operating system:

The operating system (OS), Windows Phone 8, is not yet as widespread as Android or the iPhone's OS (iOS). Therefore, be warned that there won't be as many apps available for this phone.

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we could not find its weight information.

Pros:

The memory can be expanded up to 64GB:

The Lumia 620 is not sold with a memory card but it can accept up to 64GB in memory expansion, which is convenient to store pictures and video clips taken with the built-in 5-megapixel camera.

Substantial onboard memory:

It includes a larger user memory (8000MB), but it may sometimes be better to buy a phone with an included memory card instead, since the memory card can then be reused in a future cell phone.

In-box accessories:

It includes these accessories: Nokia Stereo Headset WH-108, Connectivity Cable CA-190CD. This might prove convenient.
