Samsung Convoy 3 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Samsung Convoy 3, by Samsung

The newest sibling of the Samsung Convoy family (spaced two years apart) retained most of the features of its predecessor (the 3.2-megapixel camera, noise cancellation technology, battery capacity) and improved a few. It holds a MIL-STD-810f certification (put plainly, it can withstand - among other things - low altitudes, solar radiation, salt fog, and sand). It is powered by a 480 MHz CPU (the first two were not). It is slightly thinner at .82 inch, but is heavier at 4.4 ounces (the Convoy 2 was .85 inch, 3.9 ounces). Interestingly, although its SAR rating of .47 is much improved from the Convoy 2's .68, its Body SAR rating is a bit higher (.79 to the Convoy2's .72). The numbers are still significantly better than the original Convoy's ratings though. All in all, there were changes, sure, but was it worth waiting two years for?
