Samsung E1270 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Samsung E1270, by Samsung

From the makers of what is reportedly the world's first curved smartphone (although LG might have a few words to say about that) comes a phone so simple, it does not even have a camera (oh, the horror!). At 2.92 ounces, the Samsung E1270 weighs less than most flip phones (perhaps a camera really does add ten pounds - or in this case, one-tenth of a pound). Its 0.222 body SAR rating is also at the lower end of the spectrum, which may be a load off some hypochondriacs minds. However, its 160 x 128 TFT display seems rather small at 1.77 inches (flip phones generally have at least 2) and its CPU might be a bit slow at 208MHz. It has a 32MB memory and its 800mAh battery yields 660 minutes or eleven hours of phone conversations. In other words, it is basic - and it seems it does not pretend to be otherwise.

** This phone is also known as: Samsung GT-E1270, Nokia 501 Asha
